Rare pedals sourced. Tired circuits rebuilt. Classic silver-faced hi-fi brought back from the dead — with better parts than it left the factory with.
ON THE BENCH
So… what’s a Pedal Pimp?
Like a sneaker pimp, I started out sourcing rare and collectible guitar pedals for musicians. That led to pimpin’ my own gear — customizing pedals and amps and rewiring guitars. Then came vintage hi-fi: receivers, integrated amps, speakers, reel-to-reels and turntables.
Aging capacitors, noisy transistors and tired circuits turn great electronics into shadows of their former selves. I fix that with superior Japanese and European components and smarter circuitry. The result: killer guitar tone, and a second life for your silver-faced classic.
Pick your input. Everything leaves the bench sounding better than when it came in.

CH 02Amp circuit mods, tube and speaker upgrades, and guitar rewiring — from a glassy Fender clean to a crushing Marshall crunch.
CH 03Classic pedals turned into tone monsters — plus rare and collectible stompboxes sourced for players who want the real thing.
The pedalboard
Stock pedals, re-voiced. Less harshness, more dynamics, lower noise — and upgraded hardware you can see from the back of the room.

A smoother, more transparent Tubescreamer-style drive. Harsh mids tamed, bass response improved, far less noise.

Ear-piercing highs tamed, EQ balanced, distortion with better dynamics. Three gain stages, from pure metal to hair-metal sustain.

Switch between stock silicon and vintage-style Russian germanium diodes for Klon-flavoured clipping and richer dynamics.

The late-’80s Utah-built Grunge, cleaned up and made more responsive. High-gain enough for metal and punk too.

Some fuzzes sound best on a dying battery. Put the Voltron between your power supply and pedal and dial in exactly the voltage you want.

“Taking Care of Business” — a take on the 1966 Vox Tone Bender, built with OC75N germanium transistors imported from Germany.

Good restorers are few and far between — and most shops are swamped, handing your gear to part-time or outsourced techs. Here, the guy you talk to is the guy holding the iron.
Find the components that have drifted out of spec over five decades.
